November is the month for remembering. In particular this year on Sunday 9th November at the memorial ground in Coldharbour (11.50) and St. James’ (10.30) we mark the 85th anniversaries of significant events like the Dunkirk evacuation and the Battle of Britain and the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. We will be giving out commemorative books of the Gospel of John at these services which contain personal stories of soldiers from World War II.

We will also be holding services to remember our loved ones who have died either recently or some time ago; Christ Church 2nd November 3pm and St. James’ 10am. All are very welcome as we come together to hold their memories, the joys and the sorrows, together.

Our churches are beautiful spaces in which to find peace and connect with a power greater than ourselves. There are several free resources in both churches (prayer cards and copies of Mark’s gospel) that may be of help. As ever, I am always available for chats/coffee/walks if you feel would like some company and a listening ear.

With love

Rev’d Kia 😊
