We know we all have an important responsibility to live in a way that helps our natural world and cherishes God\u2019s precious creation. We live in optimistic hope that we can rebalance our planet once again.<\/p><p>Over the next few years, St James Church has committed to helping the Guildford Diocese fulfil their challenge to become Net Zero by 2030. We will help them with their aim to reduce any negative environmental impact of Churches and Church buildings upon God\u2019s creation by doing what we can, where we are, with what we have available to us in our own Benefice.<\/p><p>To help with this wonderful community goal, St James\u2019 has signed up to an inspirational A Rocha charity project called \u201cEcoChurch\u201d. We are thrilled to have already been awarded a Bronze certification for St James Church and now the challenge is on to progress through to Silver and Gold! We are moving firmly in the direction of individual and collective community action to limit any impact of our carbon footprint by improving our local church land, our building, our worship and teaching, our lifestyles and our community and local engagement.
