Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth younger daughter of George Royston who departed this life at Abinger Hammer on the 19th March 1886 aged 77 years.

Sacred to the memory of Mary Ann Royston late of Hackhurst farm in this parish, wife of George Royston bailiff to the first and to the present Lord Abinger. In their service she continued with her husband to whom she was deeply attached above 40 years. Faithful to her employer not less kind and first to the poor she was exemplary in all the relations of life. That which she may meet with acceptnace in that place to which all her wishes aspire is the humble hope of her surviving husband and her family and of her Master and Mistress who have placed this stone to her memory. She departed this life May 6th 1854 aged 76 years. Here also lie the remains of the said George Royston who died deeply lamented Jan 5 1859 aged 77 years
