Memorial: Under this stone is interred the Body of the Reverend Mr Robert Offley near fifty three years Rector of this Parish and oldest prebendary of the Cathedral Church of Durham greatly esteemed and beloved for his benevolent Charity and Hospitality. He exchanged this life for a better the 10th day of May 1743.
